Zarzillo de plata


In the most prestigious Spanish concourse and in competition with Rosados from Navarra, Rioja, Ribera del Duero and from the rest of the country, the Aragonese Viña Collado Rosé has won the prize "Zarcillo de Plata 98" ("98' Silver Tendril").
The Rosé Villa Collado 97' wine, bottled by Crianzas y Vinedos Santo Cristo S Coop. has obtained "ZarciIlo" Prize.

Last 2nd of June in Ponferrada has taken place the VIII National Wine Taste "Zarcillo Prizes". Regarding the class of rosé Wines, Viña Collado Rose by Crianzas y Viñedos Santo Cristo S. Coop. from Ainzón has been rewarded with the "Zarcillo de Plata 98" ("98' Silver Tendril").

Vine Collado Rosado 98, a young wine bottled by Crianzas y Viñedos Santo Cristo S. Coop. of Ainzón. in the IX Tasting of Wine 1st. International Award of Castilla-León has obtained the Silver Zarzillo "Zarcillo de Plata" This award took place the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th April in Valladolid (Spain).
This prize reaffirms the quality of the rosé wine of Crianzas y Viñedos Santo Cristo, S. Cooperative, that last year obtained three of the most prestigious rewards that wine can get in Spain:

Crianzas y Viñedos Santo Cristo, Coop. Soc., is located in the town hall of Ainzón, that belongs to the D.O. "Campo de Borja", 600 metres overseas. This cooperative was founded in year 1956 as results of the association of the Vinegrowers from the municipality of Ainzón, Bureta, Albeta, and Vera de Moncayo.
VARIETY: 100 % Garnacha.
HARVEST: Second week of October.
VINIFICATION: Selected grapes from the area "Collado", situated between 600 and 650m height, where the soil is mainly clay-ferric with a high proportion of grits. After the grapes arrive to the cellar, they pass a exhaustive analitic control. Then, the grapes are stemed, pressed, and barreled. The maceration of the wine takes between 8 and 12 hours. In a low temperature to get in the must, that grapes let free in a natural, static way, those substances responsible of its attractive colour.
In the right moment, the juice is drawed off and ferments smooth and slowly at a constant temperature of 16 ¼C to obtain its characteristics and fruity aromas. After the stabilization of the wine, the consumer can enjoy it.
TASTING: this wine has a beautifull rosa colour with of violet and coral.
Nose: we appreciate complex and elegant fruity aromas, a combination of exotic fruits with raspberry and wild fruits.
Mouth: It harmonizes the sensation of fructuosity with a creamy flavour and a balanced acidity. It is a well- rounded and tasty wine, and a long and tempting aftertaste.

Rosado

WINE
Viña Collado Rosado 97: Its main characteristic is its beautiful fraise colour, pale but vivid. This wine has an expressive an intense bouquet, with elegant and light varietal nuances, reminiscent of strawberries and ripe fruit. Smooth at first, very balanced and velvety on the palate with a touch of avidity, which gives freshness to this wine.
The fruity aftertaste transmits us a pleasant and tempting sensation. This is a wine of the highest quality, corning from a accurate selection of vineyeards of the variety "Garnacha" in the spot Collado, which designate this wine. This spot, is placed in the Mount of Ainzón, 600 m. overseas, with a specific climate, very appropiated to the vinegrowing of the grapevine. The influence of the Moncayo and this particular soil, give special features to the grapes related to its intensity and quality of its aroma, bance in its acidity and a fine flavour that reminds the land whom it belongs.
Viña Collado Rose 97 is a wine worthy of being among the best wines of Spain due to the age of the vineyards, the accurate care during the growing, the healthness of the grapes, the care in the cultural technics and fito-sanitary elements that the vinegrowers carry out, the exhaustive maduration control that give us the exact time to collect the grapes, the careful delivery of the grapes and the careful production process
