GARNACHA TINTA – RED GRENACHE

Leaf characteristics: Leaf sized pentagonal, three-lobed and slightly marked with breasts. The beam is dark green and the underside of a characteristic appearance glabrous. 

Bunch and berry: Cluster size medium, short conical, sometimes with two wings of equal size and usually very compact. Spherical berries medium size, dark purple red.


TEMPRANILLO

Cluster cylindrical, often with two wings, very compact and medium size. Berries spherical, medium and blue-black.

Other features ampelographic: It is late and sprouting between medium and medium-early maturity. The strain bearing erect.

SYRAH

Strain is the top of the Rhone and Australia. The grapes are small ovoid and a pleasant taste. Its wines have a distinctive smell of violets.

CABERNET-SAUVIGNON

Grapes of intense color and thick skin that produce wines with intense violet color and tasty with a strong character and typical green pepper, red currant, pencil lead and snuff. Optimal range for breeding, may be part of “blend” for young wines.

MERLOT

French origin, has a dark blue ink and a very thick skin. It is usually mixed with other varieties used except nobles Pomerol, Saint Emilion and the warm parts of the world and is under round the wines and accelerate aging.

MACABEO

Most widespread white variety. White wines are obtained very soft and elegant, balanced acidity, pale lemon yellow with green tones and fruity important aromatic expression. It is typical variety of young wines, but can also be used for fermentation in barrel and production of cava.

CHARDONAY – CHARDONNAY

From the French Burgundy, has become the most precious white grapes in the world. Its wines are characterized by a slight smoky flavor and provide very good results aged in wood, due to its high solids and low level of oxidation. Perfectly adapted in various Spanish regions (Penedès, Costers del Segre, Navarra, etc..), to the point of being admitted as a variety in the Regulations of Regulatory Boards

MOSCATEL DE ALEJANDRIA – MUSCAT OF ALEXANDRIA

Basically is made in mistela. It produces aromatic wines and crisp, very fragrant and fresh sweet wine if it is newly developed. It is grown mainly in Valencia, Cadiz, Malaga and half of the Ebro basin.

GARNACHA BLANCA – WHITE GRENACHE

It is a grape-like Galician Albariño but less glycerined and refined, the traditional grapes Ribeiro. Its flavor is reminiscent of ripe apples and blends perfectly with the albariño. Floral and fruity character, is a grape first nevertheless has a very small production.

VERDEJO

The white grape of Rueda, of Duero fringe and other areas of Castilla. It was the basis of so-called “wine of flavor” rancid with long aging in casks. Currently, the Verdejo has joined the new trend toward fruity wines used to make younger wines. They are very fruity and a greenish yellow.

MOSCATEL DE GRANO MENUDO – MOORISH MUSCAT

Small grained Muscat and Moorish Muscat (in French, Muscat blanc à petits grains) is a white wine grape muscat family member of the Vitis vinifera. Its name comes from its characteristic small berry size and tight clusters. It is known by a variety of local names such as Muscat Blanc, Muscat Canelli, Moscato Bianco, Muscat de Frontignan, Muscat de Lunel, Muscat d’Alsace, Muskateller, Moscatel Rosé and Sárgamuskotály. While technically a white grape, there are varieties of small grain muscat that produce berries that are pink or reddish brown. The same vine berries can potentially produce a color one year and a different color the next one. These varieties are most prevalent in Australia, where the grape is also known as Brown Frontignac and Muscat. The variety muskadel South Africa tends to show the same property a little darker.
